Because Krafton rebuilt BGMI on the same engine as PUBG Mobile, the two games read Unicode identically: if a style renders in one, it renders in the other. Clan tags sit in front of every member's name in the lobby, so they have far less room than a personal IGN and you should treat brevity as a hard rule, not a suggestion. Two to four characters is the sweet spot. Decorative symbols stick where standard emojis do not, so reach for star and bracket glyphs rather than picture emoji, which BGMI simply strips or rejects from a name.

• Keep clan tags to roughly 2 to 4 glyphs and test the shortest version first.
• Use decorative symbols that hold up well: stars, daggers, and angular brackets render cleanly.
• Skip standard emoji entirely; they will not save into a name or tag.

One honest caveat: compatibility is community-tested, not guaranteed, and Krafton occasionally tightens which characters a name accepts after an update.
